The Faster Web

par Charles Lapointe le 12 août 2009

It’s no wonder that online web companies are shifting their focus to deliver a more reliable / faster service now more than ever. The web is evolving, in a very fast way and for sites to keep up the competition they need to start offering a better quality service but also make sure it loads faster than it’s rivals.

We have recently found out that Google is working on a more real-time version of it’s search engine. Not only that, but the new version will generate faster results (as if it wasn’t already fast enough) to face against the fast expansion of Bing, Microsoft’s official search engine (which is now also used by Facebook Search).

You can test it out yourself here: http://www2.sandbox.google.com/

Even more recently, Mashable posted a news story today that proves my point exactly. Facebook LITE is coming our way guys. It is basically taking a direct shot at Twitter with real-time search results and a extremely simple user interface, just like Twitter.

Unfortunately, this is not yet available for everyone yet and only a limited number of users have received a beta request to test it out.

Have no fear, Ressac Media is putting it’s Pumas on too.
