Bing, A Pornstar and Google

par Charles Lapointe le 16 juillet 2009

We all know that Bing, Microsoft’s most recent launch, still has lot’s of work to do to catch up to the mighty Google. In fact, seems like Google isn’t even up with the facts yet. With a random search query performed today on Google Images looking for a Bing logo to use, I came up with a pretty surprise.

The kind of surprise « you don’t want fullscreened on your desktop at an office surprise ».

Bing search results on Google

The pornstar Carmella Bing showed up for about half the results on the front page with lot’s of uhh… see it here.  Nothing related to Bing (the search engine) at all. Don’t ask why my SafeSearch was OFF. Luckily for me, I wasn’t a kid in elementary doing a school project on Bing (not that kids in elementary school would ever do such a thing, but you get the point) but an employee at Ressac Media, a design and search marketing firm, which has all but female activity.

Now the question is, why doesn’t Google Images give huge trademarks or, at the very least, search engines their number #1 spot for their company name search? This question is beyond me and should be handed to Google. Hey, maybe even this post will incite Google to change it’s results.

Sorry Bing, but Google likes porn better.
